This group of caring volunteers crochet, knit or sew for items to support organisations who are collecting for the homeless, hospitals and those in crisis. Items such as blankets and knitted beanies for prem babies, making handmade cards/postcards and sewing drawstring bags for Bayside Community Emergency Relief.
Sewing machines, overlockers and supplies provided. An opportunity to join our team weekly, for both friendship and to share skills! Individuals can also be involved by working on projects at home if this is more preferable.
In 2021 & 2022 our Spinning Ladies knitted beanies for prem babies at Western Health, and with the Crochet group completed crocheted hearts with messages of kindness for distribution in the community. In 2023 the group made drawstring bags for families in crisis and sanitary bags for women, and knitted beanies to give to the homeless all through Bayside Community Emergency Relief.
